Governor of Anambra State, Charles Soludo, has reportedly directed the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to suspend the sale of nomination forms for party primaries, in a move aimed at reducing the financial burden on aspirants.

According to sources within the party, the new directive allows only the sale of Expression of Interest forms ahead of primary elections. Aspirants are expected to contest using the initial form, while only winners of the primaries will proceed to purchase the more expensive nomination forms.

The development marks a significant shift from the traditional practice where aspirants are required to pay for both Expression of Interest and Nomination forms before participating in party primaries.
