Political commentator ARC Uche Rochas has reacted strongly to reports suggesting that Peter Obi may be considering another political shift, this time away from the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

In a statement that has since stirred debate online, Rochas accused Obi of repeatedly moving supporters across political platforms to serve his personal ambition rather than building a stable political structure.

According to Rochas, Obi has failed to either establish a new political party or remain within one long enough to develop it into a formidable force. Instead, he alleged that the former Anambra State governor has continued to reposition himself politically while carrying along a base of loyal young supporters.

“He keeps moving young, innocent Nigerians from one party to another,” Rochas said, questioning Obi’s consistency and long-term vision. “Why not build your own party? Why not stay and grow one? Instead, he uses his supporters as political bargaining chips.”

Rochas further claimed that the popular “Obidient” movement has been reduced to a tool in Obi’s political calculations, describing it as a “commodity” rather than a genuine grassroots movement.

He also reacted to speculation that Obi could be heading toward another platform, possibly the National Democratic Coalition (NDC), stating that such a move would force supporters to “start all over again.”

Concluding his remarks, Rochas questioned Obi’s leadership capacity, arguing that “a confused man can never lead Nigeria effectively.”
