A Catholic priest, Thomas Onabe, has stirred widespread reactions following a statement suggesting that many individuals may not know their true biological fathers.

Speaking during a recent address, the cleric remarked that “the man you are calling your father may not even be your real father,” emphasizing that only a mother can be certain of a child’s biological paternity. He added that some people may have unknowingly identified the wrong person as their father for years, while such truths remain undisclosed.
