According to the schedule released by the party, the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms will take place at the APC National Secretariat from Saturday, April 25 to Saturday, May 2, 2026.
The party also outlined dates for its primary elections, which will determine candidates for the various offices. The presidential primary is scheduled to hold between Friday, May 15 and Saturday, May 16, 2026. This will be followed by the House of Representatives primary on Monday, May 18, and the Senate primary on Wednesday, May 20.
Primaries for State Houses of Assembly are slated for Thursday, May 21, while the governorship primaries will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026.
The APC fixed the cost of forms at varying rates depending on the office sought. Aspirants for State House of Assembly will pay ₦6 million, while those contesting for the House of Representatives will pay ₦10 million. Senate aspirants are to pay ₦20 million, while governorship hopefuls will purchase forms for ₦50 million.
The highest fee was pegged at ₦100 million for presidential aspirants, maintaining a high entry cost for the party’s top ticket.
The timetable sets the stage for early political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections, with party primaries expected to shape the contest across the country.
