The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has intensified its counter-terrorism operations, recording another major success against insurgent elements in the North-East.
In a statement released on April 28, 2026, the NAF disclosed that its Air Component under Operation HADIN KAI carried out a decisive air interdiction strike on April 27 at Guduf, located in the Mandara Mountains—a known terrorist enclave.
According to the statement signed by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the operation was executed following credible intelligence and confirmatory Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions which identified multiple terrorist structures and logistics hubs supporting insurgent activities in the area.
NAF air assets reportedly conducted a coordinated and precision-guided strike, successfully neutralising targets and destroying key infrastructure used by the террорист groups. The service emphasized that the operation was carried out with strict adherence to rules of engagement, ensuring minimal risk to civilians and the surrounding environment.
“The strike significantly degraded the operational capability of the террорист elements and reinforces the NAF’s commitment to denying adversaries freedom of action,” the statement noted.
